Great Harvest Bread Co. is a crew of fun-loving bakers, sandwich makers and more importantly "people-people". We work hard and we love what we do.
We are currently hiring Closers, Sweets Bakers, and Farmer's Market workers for the summer and fall. We are not hiring for summer only availability.
Closers: This is a great fit for high school or college students. The shift begins at 3:45 (earlier is possible) and ends at 7:45 during the week. On Saturday, the shift ends at 4:45. Closers are required to help customers, make sandwich and salad orders, restock and clean the store so it is ready to go for the next day. Pay range is $11.00 - $15.00.
Sweets Baker: Shifts are 4am - 12pm, with availability Monday - Saturday. (are scheduled 5 days during the week). Responsibilities include but are not limited to, making all our goodies and batter breads, kneading bread, prepping for the next day, and clean up. Although, this is a super fun position, it is a fast paced, physically demanding position, so you must be able to lift heavy items and stand for long periods of time. Pay range is $13.50 - $17.50 with no experience necessary.
Farmer's Market workers: This is a great fit for teachers looking for a summer gig, although it does end in October. This shift is Saturdays only from 6am - 1:30pm. You collect all the breads and goodies at the bakery and drive them to the Appleton Farmer's Market. Set up the tent, table, and breads and have a fun day selling. Although a calculator can be used for large orders, most math is done in the head as there is not a register. There is no sitting at the market so being able to stand for at least 7 hours straight is a must. This job is fast paced and super fun!
